Dear {title} {firstname} {lastname},
After considerable thought and preparation, we have decided on some significant changes to the way we provide our readers with editions of La Civiltà Cattolica.
Commencing from June 1, we will go fully digital. We will honor subscriptions to the print edition till the expiry of current subscriptions. Also, we no longer offer new subscriptions to the print edition, nor offer the print edition when the time comes for renewal.
What are your options?
To immediately move on to a Group Subscription, or |
Continue to receive the print edition for the duration of your current subscription and when you renew to purchase one of our digital products. |
Whether you move on to a Group Subscription right now, or wait, we’ll provide the monthly e-Journal for the duration of your current subscription, so you get a feel for the other digital option.
What is a Group Subscription?
It is a way we can offer access to a group of readers within a single organization. Access is enabled via your IP address and everyone in that organization, on that IP address range, will be able to read La Civiltà Cattolica.
What are the benefits of a Group Subscription?
Group Subscription is approximately the same price as your print subscription; so you are receiving the same value for money. |
If you belong to a seminary, diocesan center, library, university faculty, school or any other institution or organization you can share access with students and colleagues, and we can work with your librarian or IT department to enable the Group Subscription. |
Easy access to our backlist since we commenced publishing in February 2017, a valuable study aid for those in secondary and tertiary education or participating in professional development. |
Why have we done this?
We have developed the change for four simple reasons:
Given the increasing ease of access and the take up of internet enabled devices more subscribers prefer a digital subscription; |
Fewer print subscriptions means an increase in print and distribution costs; |
In some places in the world, the price of a print subscription is not the only cost subscribers have to carry because local taxes and excise can be levied, increasing the actual cost to a subscriber; and |
The digital revolution makes access possible for multiple users on a single subscription |
We request you to spare a few minutes to fill in your existing print subscription details for us to enable the digital Group Subscription.
I hope you agree that this is an exciting opportunity and a development that makes the rich content of La Civiltà Cattolica available to a much wider readership in a cost-effective way.
